Preparing to Cleave Daily: Day 15

Family Patterns
Scripture Passages: Genesis 23:1-2; Genesis 35:18-20; 27-29 and Genesis 49:31
For the last two weeks we’ve looked at the effect of family patterns on the lives and destinies of some individuals in scriptures. As I get ready to round up I want you to deeply consider the patterns in your family. Also important is the patterns in the family you are about to marry into. Before you agree to marry a man understand that whatever patterns are in his family you will inherit the moment you say, “I do.” Therefore, know what they are and deal with them. The Bible does say that the two shall be one flesh. Abraham buried his wife Sarah, Isaac outlived his wife Rebekah and Jacob outlived Rachel and Leah. What is the pattern in the family of your spouse-to-be?
Prayer: Father, by the finished work at Calvary, I decree positive patterns in my family in Jesus’ name.

Leadership Lessons Daily: Day 15

Scripture Passage: Matthew 10:24-25
The Followers Will Usually Face the Same Issues as the Leader
Whatever confronts a leader is likely to confront his followers. Jesus, the greatest leader that ever lived said, “If they called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?”
We become like those we choose to follow. I have said it countless times that the people become like the leader. If followers become like their leaders then it is inevitable that they will have to deal with similar issues as their leaders. Jesus’ disciples faced similar oppositions as their leader had while on earth.
Prayer: Father, help me to prepare those I lead to overcome oppositions that I am currently faced with.
