Leadership Lessons Daily: Day 105

Scripture Passage: Deuteronomy 34:5-9
Those Who Can Do Little Things Will Eventually Be Asked to Do Great Things
Moses went up the mountain to view the land that God had promised to give the children of Israel. He did not come down from the mountain. He died there and Joshua, the young man who had been Moses’ faithful servant for many years, took over the mantle of leadership. The Bible says, “And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him.”
The lesson here is this; those who can do little things will eventually be asked to do great things. Those who are able to follow faithfully will eventually be asked to lead. Sowing the seed of faithful service (and not the seed of rebellion) in the life of another leader is one way to become a great leader.
Prayer: Father, give me the grace to serve the leaders you have placed in my life.
