Leadership Lessons Daily: Day 112

Scripture Passage: Joshua 2:1-13
Great Leaders are Great Negotiators
Rahab lodged the spies sent to view Jericho in her house and when the king asked her to bring them forth, she hid them and told the king that they had already departed from the city. Having spared their lives, she entered into a negotiation with them for the deliverance of her entire family. It was a win-win situation for all. She spared the lives of the spies and they in turn spared her life and the lives of her family members.
The lesson here is this; great leaders are also great negotiators. They know how to dialogue with the aim of reaching an agreement that will favour all parties concerned. This is exactly what Rahab did.
Prayer: Father, teach me to negotiate agreements that will favour all concerned.
