Leadership Lessons Daily: Day 113

Scripture Passage: Joshua 2:1-21
Leaders Act Without Delay
After Rahab negotiated the deliverance of her entire household from the impending doom, the spies gave her a simple instruction as they departed. They said, “Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by.” The purpose was for easy identification of Rahab’s house when Israel invaded Jericho. Rahab wasted no time carrying out this instruction. The Bible says, “And she sent them away, and they departed; and she bound the scarlet line in the window.”
The lesson here is this; leaders act without delay. They do not procrastinate. Once they decide to do a thing they do it. They seldom leave until tomorrow what can be accomplished today. Leaders leave nothing for the last minute.
Prayer: Father, give me the grace to take action without delay.
