Leadership Lessons Daily: Day 152

Scripture Passage: 1 Samuel 1:13-17
Nothing is Ever as it First Appears to Be
As Hannah poured out her heart before the Lord at Shiloh, Eli watched her mouth and assumed that she was drunk. Rather than find out what the matter was, he accused her saying, “how long wilt thou be drunken? Put away thy wine from thee.” However, when Hannah explained her plight, Eli knew better and prayed for her.
The lesson here is this; nothing is ever as it first appears to be. Therefore leaders must be open minded to learn and not approach people or situations with a bias. They must refrain from being judgemental and especially when they lack complete knowledge of the truth.
Prayer: Father, make me a leader free from prejudice.
