Leadership Lessons Daily: Day 185

Scripture Passage: 1 Samuel 18:20-27
Leaders Do Not Turn Down Challenges
Saul required of David a hundred foreskins of the Philistines, as dowry for his daughter, Michal. It was actually a trap, because according to the Bible, “Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.” David was no fool; he must have realised that this was no easy mission Saul had presented to him but this did not dissuade him and he did not turn down the challenge. He accepted the assignment and went forth with his men, slaying two hundred Philistines instead of a hundred and bringing their foreskins to Saul as requested.
The lesson here is this; leaders do not turn down challenges. The word impossible does not exist in their vocabulary. They do not give excuses or reasons why a task cannot be accomplished. Leaders find a way to deliver results every time.
Prayer: Father, help me to deliver results every time.
