Leadership Lessons Daily: Day 213

Scripture Passage: 2 Samuel 15:1-31; 16:1-12
Leaders Take Note of Those Who Are for Them and Reward Them Accordingly.
As David ran from Absalom, he learnt that not everyone was for him. There were associates who came to him at his hour of need and there were those who stoned and cursed him. And those who betrayed him. David took note of every one of them. He showed his gratitude to Ziba by rewarding him instantly with half of the land that belonged to Mephibosheth.
The lesson here is this; leaders take note of those who are for them and reward them accordingly. Wise leaders learn important lessons from their valley experience. And one very important lesson they learn is to tell those who are for them apart from those who are against them.
Prayer: Father, help me to take note of those who are on my side.
