Leadership Lessons Daily: Day 263

Scripture Passage: Esther 4:1-17
Sometimes Great Women Need Others to Point Out their Potentials
When Mordecai asked Esther to speak on behalf of the Jews, she was afraid. She made excuses and gave reasons why she could not do it. She decided it would not work even before she tried. But Mordecai knew better so he responded saying, “For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place…….and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” That was all Esther needed to take steps towards saving her people.
The lesson here is this; sometimes great women need others to point out their potentials. This is because great women are sometimes without courage and blind to their abilities. And yes, sometimes great women allow fear keep them from taking actions. So sometimes great women need someone to say to them, “yes, you can.” And this is okay.
Prayer: Father, bring me people who help me see my potentials.
