Leadership Lessons Daily: Day 327

Scripture Passage: Luke 5:1-7
Leaders Proffer Solutions to Problems
On the night that Jesus met Peter, the latter was having a difficult time. He had been fishing all night and had taken nothing. Then Jesus stepped into his boat and said, “launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” Peter was initially hesitant, but once he obeyed, he realised that the instruction from Jesus was the solution to his predicament. He did not only get fish but it was so much that he had to ask his fellow fishermen for help. The entrance of Jesus into his boat became the solution to his crisis.
The lesson here is this; leaders proffer solutions to problems. They constantly seek ways to make life better for others. This quality sets them apart and places them in a class of their own. Followers spend precious time worrying over problems, but leaders spend time thinking of the way out. Therefore, leaders are able to produce answers.
Prayer: Father, help me to worry less and think more.
