Scripture Passage: John 6:66-67
Many Will Abandon The Leader Along The Way
The Bible says concerning Jesus, “From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?”
The lesson here is this; Many will abandon the leader along the way. They will hop off the “train” and they will do so for various reasons. Often because of offense. Get used to it. And don’t beg anyone to get back on the “train” because they are going to get off again at the next stop and you will need to beg them again to get on. How long can you keep that up? If they wish to leave, irrespective of whether their time with you is over or not, please let them go so you can focus on those who are left. Not everyone who began the journey with Jesus finished with Him. He was forsaken, He was abandoned and He was betrayed. Why should you be any different?
Prayer: Father, give me the grace to carry on no matter who leaves me because with you I am a majority and I can do all things.
