She shares her intriguing story of becoming a mother at the age of 19 and how she has used her experience not only to inspire and empower teen mums to keep reaching for their dreams but also to combat the teen pregnancy epidemic that had plagued inner city communities for years. She achieved this by writing the book, “Motherhood… What You Don’t Know!” released in 2005. After this she wrote a second novel, “Fatherhood…What You Ought to Know” for boys which was released in April 2007. She believes properly educating boys about sex, and their responsibilities in preventing unwanted pregnancies, is essential to reducing the teen pregnancy rate.
