DOZ Show Episode 123 – Ebony Kay English

Ebony Kay English is the guest in this episode of DOZ Show. She has transitioned from substance abuse to a woman of substance. For twelve years, she self-medicated with alcohol. It was the only way she knew to numb the pain and unworthiness she felt. She says that she would attempt to drown out her pain with alcohol, but her pain learned to swim and would still be there day after day until she finally decided to stop running and face herself and her problem. It was the 24th of January 2015 and she was awakened by her then 7-year-old son; he was standing in her vomit, crying and asking, “mommy were you sick last night?” It hurt her to have her son witness one of her many hangovers and dark moments, but she knew it was just what she needed to finally face the repressed emotions and pain that had learned to swim no matter how much alcohol she had tried to drown it with. Now, after five years of sobriety and discovering her authentic self, Ebony says that it is okay to not drink. Listen and be inspired to transform your life. Yes, you can!
