Nengi: For the Woman Oppressed
The Nengi Project is an Eturuvie Erebor initiative to help the oppressed woman. This is achieved by telling her story to the world in a bid to expose the perpetrators and stop their crime. The Nengi Project is the voice of the woman oppressed.
The world is full of women who are oppressed daily and continue to be oppressed because they have no voice. The objective of The Nengi Project is to be their voice and to create awareness of the human rights violation women especially those in underdeveloped nations suffer. To tell their story to the world and to bring the oppression they suffer to the attention of appropriate human rights bodies. The Nengi project will also work with lawyers to provide these women with free access to justice.
I have learnt from experience that one way to stop an evil act is to expose the perpetrator(s) and this is what I plan to do; all perpetrators of acts of wickedness towards women will be exposed. I refuse to sit and watch. I have cried, and I am done crying. I have chosen to act, because as Martin Luther King, Jr said, “He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.”
