Scripture Passage: Exodus 20:1-17
The Team that Will Succeed Must Be Guided By Laws
As the children of Israel began to journey towards the land of promise, a set of laws, known as the Ten Commandments, were handed to them by God through their leader, Moses. I have heard it said that where there is no law there is no sin. Also where there is no law there is chaos because people do what they like. This fosters a lack of unity which fosters a lack of progress. Suffice it to say then that for a team to make progress or win, its members must be guided by a set of rules.
The lesson here is this; no leader can succeed unless both he and his team are guided by laws. Therefore, every leader must have a set of laws in place for himself, his team, organisation or nation and must ensure that everyone including himself is equal under that law.
Prayer: Father, help me to create laws to guide myself and those I lead towards success.
