Scripture Passage: Exodus 24:12
It is the Leader’s Responsibility to Teach the Laws
After God had written the Ten Commandments, He said unto Moses, “Come up to me into the mount, and be there; and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.” Notice that the Lord did not give the responsibility of teaching the law to anyone else.
The lesson here is this; it is the leader’s responsibility to teach his people whatever laws have been put in place for their guidance. A leader achieves this best by being a doer of the same laws as the people will do what they see the leader do and not what they hear the leader say. Monkey see, monkey do. Inevitably, the people become like the leader.
Prayer: Father, help me to teach those I lead the laws by being a doer of the same.
