Scripture Passage: John 8:1-11, Luke 6:42
A Leader Must Be Fair.
A leader who is not fair in his dealings with people will soon lose what little respect his followers have for him. And because people follow leaders they respect, once respect is lost, the people will cease to follow and will in some cases rebel against the leader.
Jesus showed fairness and taught others to do the same. When a woman was taken in adultery and brought to Him for judgment, He responded in fairness. Although she had sinned, He knew it was unfair for people with sin in their lives to judge a person who had sinned and He said as much.
Prayer: Father, help me to be fair and considerate in all my dealings with people.
