The Leader’s Authority Will Be Challenged
When Korah, Dathan and Abiram said to Moses and Aaron, “Ye take too much upon you…..wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the Lord?” They were challenging Moses’ authority as leader. This is very similar to when one said to a younger Moses in Egypt, “Who made thee a prince and a judge over us?”
The lesson here is this; every leader will have his authority challenged by those he leads. Moses’ authority was challenged by Korah and company. Jesus, the greatest leader had His authority challenged frequently by the religious leaders of His day. David had his authority as king challenged by his own son, Absalom. You won’t be any different; your authority will be challenged.
Prayer: Father, give me the wisdom to handle those who challenge my authority as a leader.
